I grew up with eating Kutsinta. It is an orange/brown rice cupcake and one of favorite Filipino dessert (merienda) made up of rice flour or glutinous rice, brown sugar and achuete ( for coloring). I am actually craving for this for almost a week …and finally I am able to have it now. This is usually sold in the morning for breakfast and in the afternoon for merienda.
The vendor will
catch the attention of their customer by making sound of their potpot which they squeeze to produce sound. What is unique
with kutsinta being sold here which I really like is their Yema toppings
because others just usually paired it with fresh shredded coconut.
One of my favorites! Kutsinta with yema and niyog!!!
