Butter Beer at The Nook: a Harry Potter Themed Cafe

Good news to all Harry Potter enthusiast out there! The Nook cafe is a place that you must try. When my husband and I first visited the place, we really enjoyed the ambiance and its Harry Potter themed concept. The food and drinks are also worth the price.

What we really enjoyed there is their signature BUTTER BEER, a famous foaming wizard beverage. Now, we're back with kids with us this time.... After few attempts ,at last we got the chance to visit it again. Since the place is quite small, you really need to wait until there's an available slot for you.

There are more space up stairs where you can find some Harry Potter's books.

Of course your visit here will not be completed without trying out their signature Butter Beer. At first the kids is quite hesitant to try it coz they thought that it's really beer, and drinking beer is not for kids. There Butter Beer is non alcoholic and just taste like a butterscotch.

We ordered Harry's mug ( P100.00) for the kids..
My daughter is still thinking to take her first shot.

Opppsss... She didn't even want to try at first.
Daddy got his Hagrid's Mug ( P150.00)
Seems daddy already convinced Rain here.

Baby didn't even think twice when we asked her to take a sip...

almost bottoms up...

Bacon wrapped chicken (P160.00) coated with honey is also a must try..

Dalitiwan Falls in Majayjay Laguna

Summer is here again! If you are looking for a budget friendly summer getaway near the Metro, try to take a splash in a cold man-made freshwater falls in Laguna.

While checking out for a perfect summer destination for our yearly family outing, I've seen this eye catching beauty of man-made falls in Dalitiwan Resort. This Cold Spring falls will definitely beat the summer heat! Majayjay Laguna is really gifted with a lot of great place to visit specially for nature lover out there. One of this is located at Bgy. Ilayang Banga Majayjay, Laguna.

We left from Sta. Maria Bulacan at 6:00am and we expected to arrive there in 2-3 hours

Thanks to WAZE app... We never had a hard time finding our way there...and unlike with other Falls that you need to take a long walk for a few minutes, here parking and the falls is just few steps away.

We arrived at around 8:00am.  Good thing we able to find a good spot for parking. Since we decided for a day tour only we just rented an open cottage for P500.00.

Upon entering you need to pay the entrance fee of P90.00 for Adult
and P80.00 for Kids for a day tour...as well as the cottage or room for accommodations.

You will be provided with this waterproof brace tag.

There are available stores for souvenirs and food inside but better to bring your own food.

As we arrived kids were really amazed, though it is their second time to swim in falls but this one is different because the area is bigger and this is something not usual since we usually had our summer outing either in pool or beach.

There are cottages near the swimming pool but we decided to look somewhere else because some guests there rented a videoke. We just wanted a quite place to make it more relaxing...

Cottage near the pool

There were still a lot of available cottages since there were still few guests around at that time. With that, we had an options to find the best spot for our cottage.  Good thing we able to find one just beside one of the man made falls.

Of course kids didn't waste a minute and had a cold shower in the falls...while enjoying a soft back massage because of the pressure of the water from the falls.

Bought her salbabida while on our way for only P50.00.
You can find a lot selling along the road of Los Banos,Laguna

There are barbeque grills available that you can use for free which you may also share with other guests.  You just need to bring your own charcoal. Bringing in of food and drinks inside is allowed without corkage fee.

Eating time....

Now let's have a quick tour around the area...

Fresh water free flowing swimming pool around 4-5ft

I didn't expect that they have a lot of clean shower and comfort rooms there because usually with this kind of place they just have a simple and not so comfy comfort room.

Newly renovated CR and shower rooms.

There are slippery big rocks so a lot of care must be observed especially with kids.
