Panlasang Pinoy : Binatog with a Twist

Binatog ( boiled white corn kernels) is a popular Filipino street food snack. It is made up of matured white corn soak in water and salt until puffed then boiled until the skin almost peel off. The water is drained and usually served with grated coconut toppings with salt and sugar.

Traditionally, I remember that binatog vendor usually sell around the street using bicycle with two pails containing the binatog and the grated coconut on the other, the vendor will shout "Binatog...!!! " or make sound by tapping the a small metal to catch the attention of the buyers.

And now, street food really invades the mall. There's  a lot of binatog food stall in the mall. We tried one from Mang BInatog located at SM north EDSA. It only cost P15( small ), P20 ( medium), and P25 (large).
